Since founding J. Lambert Custom Homes in 1998, Lambert has revolutionized custom home building in the North Texas area through his hands-on leadership approach and unwavering commitment to quality. His distinctive management style, emphasizing direct involvement in every project, has earned him a loyal team of skilled professionals, many of whom have collaborated with him for over 25 years.
Lambert’s journey in construction began after a promising early career in retail management at Winn-Dixie Stores. In 1982, he established Lambert’s Ornamental Iron, where he innovated high-end iron fencing and electronic gate systems throughout the Southlake North Texas area. Over 17 years, he built a reputation for superior craftsmanship and direct collaboration with builders and homeowners.
His dedication to excellence has garnered numerous prestigious accolades, including the 2003 Southlake Builder of the Year award and recognition in Southlake Style magazine’s “King of the Castles” feature in 2017. Most recently, Living Magazine readers have consistently voted J. Lambert Custom Homes as Best Builder in Northeast Tarrant County, Keller, and the Frisco-Plano area.

Lambert attributes much of his success to his wife of 39 years, Gina Lambert, who manages the company’s financial operations and serves as a board member of Tarrant County Hands of Hope. Together, they balance their professional commitments with raising Brahma cattle, a shared passion that reflects their deep Texas roots.
As a member of the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association, Lambert continues to raise industry standards through his commitment to engineering excellence and quality construction.
